Children’s Halloween Party is scheduled from 3:30-5:30 p.m. at Norz Hill Farm, 120 South Branch Road. Come in costume for a spooky good time on the farm. All registered children can go on a hayride, receive a pumpkin from the patch, walk through the kids bale maze and a get a goodie bag. Pre-registration is required by noon Oct. 24.

Howl-O-ween – A dog costume contest will be held at Ann Van Middlesworth Dog Park on Sunday, Oct. 26. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. and parade begins at 9 a.m. at the Pavilion.

Trunk or Treat will be held at the Willow Road Complex, 530 Willow Road. Registration is required to participate by Oct. 20. It is free for registered guests who come with a decorated trunk. All trunks will bring candy to hand out.

Also, did you register for the scarecrow festival that is in its fourth year? Look out for the decorated scarecrows along “Scarecrow Lane” that will pop up along the township municipal complex’s rain garden.

Beginning Sept. 29, scarecrows will maintain vigilance on the municipal grounds.

The annual fall event grew in popularity since its inception in 2021. In previous years, creative,
handcrafted crows stood watch over the municipal building, including pirate crows, police crows, Barbie,
Rapunzel, Minions, storybook characters, Swifties, and traditional scarecrows.

Residents can vote on their favorite scarecrows throughout October via QR codes located throughout the
area or via a form on the township website at https://www.hillsborough-nj.org/

The scarecrows will be displayed throughout October and winners will be announced on Nov. 1.
