Final vote tallies: Incumbents, newcomers fill council seats in Hopewell, Pennington

Hopewell Borough and Pennington each have an incumbent, and one newcomer officially confirmed to take their council seats next year with final votes tallied for the Nov. 5 general election.

Hopewell Borough had two, three-year terms available on the ballot for Borough Council.

Democratic candidate Anthony Fuller earned 958 votes, and Democratic incumbent Debra Stuhler received 911 votes, according to the official votes posted by the Mercer County Clerk’s Office on Nov. 21.

Fuller earns his first term on borough council and Stuhler earns a third term to the governing body.

There were no Republicans on the ballot for the general election.

Pennington Council races:

There were two, three-year terms available on the ballot in Pennington.

Democratic incumbent Nadine Stern earned 1,349 votes, and Democratic candidate Dan Rubenstein received 1,346 votes.

Stern returns to the governing body for second three-year term and Rubenstein earns his first term on Pennington Council.

There were no Republicans on the ballot for the general election.

The official votes tallied and posted by the Mercer County Clerk’s Office on Nov. 21 for the general election races included early voting, mail-in ballots, Election Day voting and provisional ballots.
