Man charged with multiple drug offenses

A 47-year-old East Windsor Township man was charged with multiple drug-related offenses after he was allegedly found asleep in a dugout at the Hightstown High School baseball field, according to the East Windsor Police Department.

Police were sent to the high school on the report of a person asleep in the baseball field dugout on Jan. 8. During the investigation, the man was found to have active warrants from East Windsor Township and Mercer County.

He was taken to the East Windsor Police Department to be processed and was allegedly found to be in possession of suspected heroin and suspected crack cocaine. He was charged with two counts of possession of a controlled dangerous substance and one count of possession of drug paraphernalia.

He was processed and taken to the Mercer County Correction Center.
