Man charged following hit-and-run crashes

A 30-year-old East Windsor Township resident was arrested on a warrant from the New Brunswick Police Department Feb. 17 following a series of hit-and-run crashes in the area of Heathwood Drive and Cherrybrook Lane, according to the East Windsor Police Department.

A police officer found the vehicle at the intersection of Heathwood Drive and Oak Creek Road, but the driver had fled the scene. An investigation revealed that the vehicle had been reported stolen from New Brunswick.

The vehicle was impounded and the investigation was turned over to the New Brunswick Police Department, which identified the suspect. A warrant was issued and served on the suspect.

The suspect was processed and turned over to the custody of the New Brunswick Police Department.
