 s are invited to a rare and unforgettable evening honoring Mikhail Voskre
 sensky\, one of the world’s most celebrated pianists\, at the Seminary 
 Chapel\, Princeton Theological Seminary. This special concert marks his 9
 0th birthday and celebrates a lifetime of artistic brilliance\, resilienc
 e\, and inspiration. Voskresensky will perform an all-Chopin program\, a 
 fitting tribute to one of the composers closest to his heart.\n\nA student
  of the legendary Lev Oborin (winner of the First International Chopin C
 ompetition\, 1927)\, Voskresensky inherited his teacher’s refined taste 
 and romantic sensibility. Over his long career\, he has combined electrify
 ing technique with profound musical insight\, captivating audiences across
  Europe\, the Americas\, Asia\, and Africa.\n\nVoskresensky’s career is 
 filled with milestones. In 1957 he gave the European premiere of Shostako
 vich’s Second Piano Concerto at the Prague Spring Festival in the prese
 nce of the composer. He went on to win prizes at major international compe
 titions\, including the Schumann (Berlin)\, George Enescu (Bucharest)\, an
 d Van Cliburn (Fort Worth). In recognition of his artistry\, he was named
  People’s Artist of Russia in 1989. In 2010 he completed a remarkable 
 project: performing and recording all 27 Mozart piano concertos live ove
 r three years\, a monumental achievement demonstrating his extraordinary m
 astery of classical repertoire.\n\nEven at 90\, Voskresensky continues to 
 perform at the highest level. At age 87 he left Russia in protest of the w
 ar\, affirming his lifelong commitment to artistic integrity and moral cou
 rage. Today he stands as the oldest active concert pianist in the world\,
  a symbol of resilience and devotion to music.\n\nA revered teacher\, he h
 as led the piano faculty at the Moscow Conservatory for nearly six decad
 es\, where his students have won more than 120 international prizes. He no
 w shares his wisdom as a visiting professor at Juilliard and continues t
 o provide master classes all over the world\, inspiring new generations o
 f pianists across continents.\n\nThis concert promises an extraordinary ce
