Cranbury: Democrats lead race for Township Committee

Cranbury Township voters cast their votes in the Nov. 5 general election for two three-year terms on the Township Committee.

As of Nov. 5, Democratic candidate Robert Christopher has earned 1,353 votes, Democratic incumbent Eman El-Badawi has received 1,306 votes, and Republican candidate Joe Buonavolonta received 1,104 votes.

There are 15 write-in votes cast.

The Middlesex County Clerk’s Office posted results on its website are unofficial until a vote-counting process that could take more than a week is complete.

Vote totals as of Nov. 5 do not include late mail-in and provisional ballots; they are expected to be tallied at a later date.
