The East Windsor Police Department is investigating a rash of vehicle burglaries and tire thefts that have occurred since July 25.

Tires were stolen from four vehicles in Twin Rivers development, police said. The thieves propped them up on milk crates and stole the tires and wheels. They broke into two of the vehicles to find the wheel lug nut lock. There were at least three persons involved, all wearing ski masks.

One car was stolen and several other vehicles were burglarized in the area of Cornwall Drive overnight on July 25, police said. In each case, the victims had left the vehicle doors unlocked.

Police are advising residents to lock their vehicles and to take the keys inside with them. They are also urged to call 911 if they see any suspicious activity.

Anyone who lives in the area and has video is asked to call Detective Joseph Amejka at (609) 443-7231 or send an email to tips@ewpd.com.
