East Windsor resident charged with driving under the influence with minor in vehicle

A 41-year-old East Windsor Township resident was charged with driving under the influence with a minor in the vehicle at 10:15 p.m. Sept. 29, according to the East Windsor Police Department.

A police officer stopped the vehicle in the area of North Main Street and Old Cranbury Road after noticing that it was being driven erratically.

The police officer found a juvenile and his mother as passengers in the vehicle. They were given a ride to their home.

The driver was also charged with having an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle, reckless driving, careless driving, improper passing and having an improper child passenger restraint.

The driver was processed and released.
