The burglars targeted unlocked vehicles and stole credit cards and driver’s licenses that had been left in the vehicles, police said. None of the vehicles were stolen. Some car keys were recovered that had been left behind by the burglars.

In the wake of the burglaries, the Hopewell Township Police Department has advised residents to lock their vehicles overnight or when they are left unattended.

Police Detective Christopher Collins, who has been assigned to investigate the burglaries, is following active leads in an attempt to track down the burglars. Residents should contact the Hopewell Township Police Department if they observe suspicious activity or vehicles in their neighborhood.

The Hopewell Township Police Department will continue to provide additional presence in the residential neighborhoods in Hopewell Township and Hopewell Borough.
