Hopewell Tour Des Arts showcases local artwork

Rain or shine, Hopewell Tour Des Arts – it its 17th year – will once again showcase artwork from the local community.

This weekend, residents and visitors are able to take a self-guided tours to galleries and locations as part of Tour Des Arts to view various artwork pieces from local artists.

The tour is scheduled for 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sept. 28, and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sept. 29. Admission is free, and donations encouraged. 

From choosing your own self-guided tour routes to meeting the artists and watching them in studios people will be able to view different art mediums along with locations such as Highland Design Farm, Hopewell Train Station Freight Shed, Ottoburger, and Calvary Baptist Church of Hopewell. 

The tour will feature more than 60 local artists. Some of those artists include Ayami Aoyama, Nina Belfor, Nicky Belletier, Don Campbell, Cecile Bruck, Marissa Blossom, SUMI, Morris Docktor, Guy Ciarcia, Scott Grossman, Caroline Hall, Beth Judge, Yun Li, Joy Kreves, Beth Parcell, and Grant Peterson.

Hopewell Tour Des Arts was founded by designer Sean Mannix, who is the owner of Highland Design Farm, fine jewelry designer Beth Judge, and gallery owner Ruth Morpeth in 2007. The tour was established to unify the artist community and foster a culture of creativity and engagement.

This is the first year Hopewell Tour Des Arts and the Hopewell Valley Arts Council are teaming together to present the tour.
