Hopewell Valley: School board race results

Hopewell Township voters cast their votes in the Nov. 5 general election for two three-year terms, one two-year term, and one, one-year term on the Hopewell Valley Regional Board of Education.

Voters in Pennington cast their votes in the election for one three-year term on the school board.

Two three-year terms representing Hopewell Township: As of Nov. 6, incumbent Jacquie Genovesi has earned 6,843 votes and incumbent Dhruv Kapadia has received 4,868 votes.

One two-year term representing Hopewell Township: As of Nov. 6, incumbent John Slotman has earned 7,074 votes.

One, one-year term representing Hopewell Township: As of Nov. 6, candidate Amanda Stylianou has received 69 votes and leads in a contested write-in race for the seat. Candidate Theresa (Tracy) Vogler, who also mounted a write-campaign, has the next highest vote count with 15 votes as Tracy Vogler and there are 28 votes cast as Theresa Vogles. Some voters misspelled Vogler’s last name when they cast their write-ins.

One three-year term representing Pennington: As of Nov. 6, incumbent Alex Reznik received 1,253 votes.

The Mercer County Clerk’s Office posted results on its website that are unofficial until a vote-counting process that could take more than a week is complete.

Vote totals as of Nov. 6 do not include late mail-in and provisional ballots; they are expected to be tallied at a later date.
