A brush fire that burned about two acres behind Business Park Drive March 1 was caused by a malfunctioning electrical box near a solar panel field. Firefighters from Montgomery Township Volunteer Fire Co. No. 1, Montgomery Township Volunteer Fire Co. No. 2 and the Rocky Hill Fire Department extinguished the fire.

An unattended fire pit caused a brush fire on Sourland Hills Road on March 1. The fire spread to adjacent grass and trees before firefighters from Montgomery Township Volunteer Fire Co. No. 2 put it out.

A person was briefly trapped in a malfunctioning elevator at the Somerset at Montgomery apartment development on Route 206 March 1. The person was able to exit the elevator before police and firefighters from Montgomery Township Volunteer Fire Co. No. 2 arrived. The elevator was taken out of service by the fire department at the request of the property manager.

Someone broke a window and a glass door at a building on County Route 605. The incident, which was reported Feb. 28, may have occurred between last summer and the day it was reported.

A picnic table was stolen from the rear of a Vreeland Drive business sometime between Feb. 14 and Feb. 28.
