Philanthropic Educational Organization (P.E.O.) is offering educational grants, loans and scholarships for women in Burlington County.

The P.E.O. Chapter AZ of Medford was formed in 2020. The organization helps women pursue their education through grants, loans and scholarships.

ELF: Educational Loan Fund:

  • Must be a high school graduate or equivalent
  • Citizens or legal permanent resident of the U.S. or Canada
  • Enrolled in accredited U.S. or Canadian school and within two years of completing course of study
  • Must be recommended by a P.E.O. Chapter
  • 12,000 non-degree program, $15,000 bachelor’s degree
  • $25,000 for doctoral program with only 2% interest.

PCE: Program for Continuing Education

  • One time grant-in-aid for students with financial need
  • Citizen or legal permanent resident of the U.S. or Canada
  • Is enrolled in an educational program leading to employment or job advancement
  • Must have spent at least 24 consecutive months as a non-student sometime in her adult life and be with 24 consecutive months of completing her educational goal
  • Sponsored by a P.E.O. chapter
  • Maximum grant is $14,000

PSA: Scholar Awards

  • Merit based awards for women pursuing master or doctoral level degrees at an accredited U.S. or Canadian college or university.
  • Enrolled full time with one to two full years of academic work remaining at the time of this award
  • Maximum amount $25,000

STAR: Star Scholarship

  • Graduating high school senior and citizen or legal permanent resident of the U.S. or Canada
  • Must attend an accredited post-secondary educational institution in the U.S. or Canada, full or part time in the academic year following high school graduation
  • Recommended by a P.E.O. Chapter
  • $2,500 award amount
