Police investigate gas station burglary

The Pennington Exxon gas station on the corner of Route 31 and West Delaware Avenue was burglarized Aug. 16, according to the Pennington Police Department.

A police officer was sent to the gas station to investigate an activated burglar alarm at 2:08 a.m., police said. When the officer arrived, he saw that the front glass doors had been smashed to gain entry.

Police officers from the Pennington Police Department and the Hopewell Township Police Department searched the building, but the burglars had fled prior to their arrival.
