Two Trenton men face robbery and weapons charges after a shooting incident on Stonicker Drive that injured one man, according to the Lawrence Township Police Department.
Police officers were sent to a Stonicker Drive home shortly before 6 p.m. on March 28 to investigate a report of a shooting incident at the home. The police officers found a 19-year-old victim who had been shot in the shoulder following a physical confrontation with the two men, who allegedly tried to steal money.
The victim was taken to Capital Health Regional Medical Center in Trenton for treatment, police said. He was later discharged from the hospital.
The two men, ages 19 years old and 20 years old, were arrested on April 21 after police carried out a search warrant.
The men were charged with accomplice liability to a robbery; accomplice liability to aggravated assault; and accomplice liability to weapons offenses, police said.
The 20-year-old man was also charged with certain persons not to possess a weapon, police said.
The 19-year-old man was also charged with unlawful possession of a weapon; possession of an extended magazine; and possession of hollow point bullets as a result of the search warrant, police said.
The 19-year-old man also was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance; possession of a controlled dangerous substance with intent to distribute; and possession of a weapon while committing a drug offense.
The two men were taken to the Mercer County Correction Center.
