A woman was assaulted by a man while she was working alone in a room at the Lewis Library on the Princeton University campus shortly after noon Aug. 5, according to the Princeton University Department of Public Safety.
The woman told Department of Public Safety officers that a man entered the room where she was working and asked for help. He approached her and grabbed her by the neck, pushing her against a wall.
The woman screamed and fled. The man did not follow her, the Princeton University Department of Public Safety said.
The suspect was described as about 25 to 30 years old. He was wearing a brown sweatshirt, brown pants and carrying a black backpack.
The Lewis Library is located on the corner of Washington Road and Ivy Lane in a building designed by architect Frank Gehry.
