Montgomery: School board race results

Voters in Montgomery Township and Rocky Hill cast their votes in the Nov. 5 general election for three, three-year terms on the school district board of education and one two-year term.

For the three, three-year terms: As of Nov. 6, incumbent Maria Spina has earned 3,502 votes, candidate John Sangiovanni III has received 3,441 votes, and incumbent Patrick Todd has earned 3,432 votes.

Candidate Ting Wang receives 3,308 votes and candidate Jaideep Karan Mathur earned 3,218 votes

There are 83 write-in votes cast for the three open seats.

For the two-year term: Candidate Vanita Nargund received 5,371 votes.

There are 118 write-in votes cast in the race.

The Somerset County Clerk’s Office posted results on its website that are unofficial until a vote-counting process that could take more than a week is complete.

Vote totals as of Nov. 6 do not include late mail-in and provisional ballots; they are expected to be tallied at a later date.
