A 32-year-old Utah woman was charged with aggravated assault on an emergency medical technician and other offenses after police were called to investigate a disturbance at the Holiday Inn on Monmouth Street June 15, according to the East Windsor Police Department.

When police arrived at the Holiday Inn, they determined that a female guest who was causing the disturbance was intoxicated. She had been asked by the motel management to leave, but she allegedly refused, police said.

She also allegedly refused to comply with police officers and continued to be uncooperative. Police officers requested EMS personnel because of the level of the woman’s intoxication, police said.

The woman allegedly kicked one of the EMTs as she was being placed in the ambulance. She was taken to the hospital for treatment, police said.

In addition to aggravated assault, the woman was charged with obstruction, resisting arrest, defiant trespass and disorderly conduct. She was served on a complaint summons.
