Charles L. Vanderbilt

Charles L. Vanderbilt of Lawrenceville passed away January 20, 2025. Born in Lawrenceville, he was a lifelong Lawrenceville resident. He was a lifetime member of The Presbyterian Church of Lawrenceville.

Charles was a skilled carpenter and worked for St. Francis Hospital and Bailey Millwork. He married the love of his life, Marilyn June Vanderbilt, and they lived together in the home he built on Lawrenceville-Pennington Road. They were married for 44 years at the time of her death.

In addition to his wife Marilyn, Charles was predeceased by his parents, James and Mabel Vanderbilt, his sisters, Marion Vanderbilt and Dorothy Tash, his brother, James Vanderbilt, and his nephews, Bruce Tash and Richard Vanderbilt. Charles is survived by his nieces, Karen Brown, Kathy Tash, and Lynda Cameron, and their children, and his good friend, Ed Bergmann.

Graveside services were held Saturday, January 25, 2025 at 11:30am at the Lawrenceville Cemetery, Lawrenceville with the Rev. Dr. Jeffrey Vamos officiating. Arrangements are by the Wilson-Apple Funeral Home, 2560 Pennington Road, Pennington. Condolences are welcome at www.wilsonapple.com.
