A two-month-long investigation into cocaine distribution in Trenton netted two arrests, the seizure of 160 grams of suspected cocaine with a street value of $8,000 and $36,000 in cash on Aug. 6, according to the Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office.

Andrew Anderson, 35, and Aniyah Boone, 25, both of Patriots Way in Eastampton Township, were charged with narcotics offenses and money laundering, the Prosecutor’s Office said. A motion was filed to detain Anderson pending trial, but Boone was released pending future court proceedings.

Police carried out search warrants at Anderson’s home, a storage unit in Lawrence Township, two vehicles, and Anderson himself on Aug. 6.

A search warrant executed at Anderson’s home resulted in the seizure of approximately $32,000 in cash, assorted drug paraphernalia and three large digital scales. Boone was detained outside of the home without incident.

The search warrant at Anderson’s home was carried out by the Mercer County Narcotics Task Force, the Hamilton Township Police Department’s SWAT team, the Burlington County Prosecutor’s Office Narcotics Unit, the Eastampton Township Police Department and the Robbinsville Township Police Department’s K-9 dog Rudy.

A search of the storage facility on Brunswick Pike in Lawrence Township yielded many items with Anderson’s name on them. Drug paraphernalia and 9mm live ammunition also were recovered from the storage unit.

Anderson was detained in Trenton without incident while driving his Ford F-150 pickup truck. The Robbinsville Township Police Department’s K-9 dog Rudy gave a positive indication for narcotics inside the truck.

Detectives conducted a search of the truck and found a secret compartment within the rear of the infotainment system that held 160 grams of suspected cocaine and drug paraphernalia. They also found $4,403 in cash and two digital scales inside the truck.

The investigation was conducted by the Mercer County Narcotics Task Force with help from the Drug Enforcement Administration, the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Burlington County Prosecutor’s Office.

Also, police departments from Ewing Township, Hamilton Township, Robbinsville Township and the City of Trenton assisted in the investigation.
