A 66-year-old Morrisville, Pa., man was arrested on an active warrant following a motor vehicle stop on Aug. 10. The police officer stopped the vehicle after it turned onto Route 518. The driver was issued summonses for improper passing and using a handheld device while driving. He was processed and released.

A 20-year-old Parsippany resident was charged with failure to maintain lane following a two-car crash on Route 601 near Grandview Road on Aug. 6. The driver was traveling north on Route 601 and approaching the railroad crossing when the vehicle crossed the centerline, struck the concrete median and then collided with a southbound Isuzu truck driven by a 35-year-old Paulsboro resident. Both vehicles became disabled on the railroad tracks and had to be towed from the scene.

A young bicyclist suffered a leg injury after he collided with a Honda Accord being driven by a 66-year-old Rocky Hill resident on Blue Spring Road on Aug. 4. The investigation revealed that the bicyclist, who was traveling on Salisbury Road, failed to stop before entering the intersection with Blue Spring Road.

A Sleepy Hollow Lane house that was undergoing renovations sustained minor fire damage in a fire that was reported on Aug. 1. Contractors who arrived at the home to begin work discovered smoke in the house and also observed an entry wall was discolored. The fire was quickly extinguished by firefighters. It may have been caused by construction material, including a pile of rags that had been used during floor refinishing.
