An 84-year-old Princeton man was charged with shoplifting for allegedly taking items from a store on Nassau Street Nov. 29. He was also allegedly found to be in possession of stolen items from another store in Princeton. He was processed and released.
Someone forced their way into a Nassau Street business and stole about $2,000 in cash and checks. The burglary and theft was reported Nov. 28. There are no suspects at this time.
A 23-year-old Princeton man was charged with criminal mischief and criminal trespass after he forced his way into a building on Einstein Drive and set off the fire alarm at 3:51 a.m. Nov. 28. Police were called to investigate a commercial burglar alarm and discovered the man inside the building. He was processed and released.
Someone wrote “Free Palestine” in newly poured concrete on a sidewalk on Christopher Drive Nov. 26, causing damage estimated at $4,000. The incident of criminal mischief was reported Nov. 27.
Burglars who broke into a Terhune Road home on Nov. 27 apparently left empty-handed. A police officer noticed an open door at the house and discovered it had had been entered. There was damage to the front and rear doors. Nothing was reported missing.
A Benjamin Rush Lane resident reported at 5:38 a.m. Nov. 26 that a man entered her unlocked vehicle while it was parked in her driveway. He attempted to start the vehicle, but there was no key in it. He left the area. Police searched the area but did not find the man.
A vandal scratched “Free Palestine” and “Gaza Rise” in newly poured concrete on a sidewalk on Christopher Drive Nov. 25. Damage to the concrete was estimated at $1,000.
