A vandal smashed all of the windows and damaged the driver’s side door of a vehicle parked on Franklin Avenue in an incident of criminal mischief that was reported Sept. 21. The vandal may have used a rock to cause the damage, which was estimated at $3,000.
Two signs and a metal pole were stolen from the end of a driveway on Riverside Drive overnight between Sept. 20 and Sept. 21. The items were valued at a combined $90.
Jewelry valued at more than $25,000 was reported stolen on Sept. 18 from a Westcott Road home while a moving company was relocating furniture inside the house. The stolen jewelry included gold Cartier and Chopard items. The victim suspects that a moving company employee is responsible for the theft.
A locked 2024 Porsche Cayenne Turbo GT sport utility vehicle, valued at $250,000, was stolen from a driveway on Prospect Avenue between Sept. 13 and Sept. 18. The key fob was also reported missing from inside the house. There were no signs of forced entry, but it is believed that the thief entered the house to get the keys to the SUV.
A Hutchinson Drive resident reported the theft of four retirement account checks – two original checks and two replacement checks – from their mailbox, along with a replacement Social Security card. The two original checks and the two replacement checks totaled $23,108.57. The checks and Social Security card were taken from mail deliveries on Aug. 15, Sept. 5 and Sept. 8. The victim confirmed the expected delivery dates through the USPS informed delivery notification. The incident was reported Sept. 17.
