A five-year development project has come to an end with the opening of a new CubeSmart self-storage facility on Clarksville Road in West Windsor.
The three-story facility at 201 Clarksville Road in Princeton Junction celebrated its grand opening Saturday, Oct. 3, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by Mayor Hemant Marathe, representatives of the business and members of the community.
The locally owned facility, which is managed by CubeSmart, offers approximately 725 storage units in a range of sizes, according to an Oct. 8 announcement from the ownership group.
About 90% of the units are climate controlled, providing additional protection for belongings that may be affected by changes in temperature and humidity.
The storage units range in size from 5 by 5 feet to 10 by 30 feet, accommodating everything from household belongings and furniture to the storage needs of local businesses.
The property includes 24-hour video surveillance, electronic access, elevators, covered loading areas, moving carts, drive-up access and extensive lighting.
The opening marks the completion of a development and construction process that took approximately five years, according to the ownership group. The facility was designed to serve homeowners, renters, students and businesses in West Windsor and surrounding communities.
The grand opening celebration included a two-hour live broadcast by radio station 94.5 WPST, a pizza truck, prizes, giveaways and tours of the new building.
The facility is now accepting customers. CubeSmart offers month-to-month rentals, online reservations and contact-free rentals, along with a mobile application that allows customers to manage their accounts, make payments and access the property.
According to the company’s website, the West Windsor location’s office is open Monday through Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. The office is closed Sunday. Customers can access their storage units daily from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.
The company is also advertising introductory rental promotions, including a free first month and discounts on qualifying units, subject to availability and rental terms.
