As another remarkable school year comes to a close, I want to extend my heartfelt congratulations to the incredible Allentown High School Class of 2026 who is starting their adventure outside the walls of our community.

Our community has just witnessed a year filled with profound achievements, growth, and joy. Watching our graduates walk across the stage is a powerful reminder of why we do this work, and we are immensely proud of the resilience and character they have shown throughout their educational journey…Always remember that you are loved.

To our NES, SBMS and AHS students, thank you for continuously enlightening our lives with your curiosity, energy, and unique perspectives. You are the heart of our schools. Of course, none of these successes would be possible without our exceptional faculty and staff. Thank you for being that constant, unwavering support system for our kids every single day.

Our schools can only be the best they can be when we work in true partnership with our community. We are profoundly grateful to our parents and community members for your steadfast support of the district. A special thank you goes out to our vital community groups and volunteers who poured their time and energy into making this year so memorable:

The UFR PTA: Thank you for your tireless advocacy, coordination, and community-building events.

The UFREF: We appreciate your dedication to funding innovative educational grants and opportunities.

Event Volunteers: Thank you to the countless parents who generously contributed their unique talents at multiple events.

4th Grade and 8th Grade Dance Committees: Your hard work created an unforgettable milestone celebration for our students.

Teacher of the Year Supporters: Thank you to the parents who step up to honor and support our stellar educators.

AHS Alumni: Thank you for always supporting AHS and for sharing your pride in your alma mater.

While we are taking a moment to celebrate the great year we just had, our work does not stop. In fact, our administration and staff pivoted the very day after graduation to begin planning and preparing for the upcoming year. There is an immense feeling of optimism and excitement building for the 2026-2027 school year, and we are already hard at work designing new ways to help our students thrive. Thank you for being an essential part of our school family, and I look forward to partnering with you all again in the fall.

Have an amazing summer break!

Mark Guterl is Superintendent of the Upper Freehold Regional School District.
