A 63-year-old Somerset man was charged with shoplifting, obstruction of justice, hindering apprehension and possession of drug paraphernalia after police responded to Walmart for a shoplifter July 30, according to the East Windsor Police Department.

The store’s loss prevention personnel told police that the suspect had allegedly shoplifted cans of baby formula on July 26. A police officer found the suspect in the store. He allegedly provided false information to the officer when he was questioned, police said.
