A 40-year-old Neptune man was arrested on an active warrant from Neptune after he was stopped by police for having a broken brake light on Route 33 on Jan. 22. He was also charged with driving while suspended, being an unlicensed driver, maintenance of lamps and obstruction of windshield. He was processed and released.
A 58-year-old East Windsor Township man who was involved in a hit-and-run crash on Route 571 at 5:10 p.m. Jan. 17 was charged with driving under the influence, reckless driving, careless driving, leaving the scene of an accident and failure to report an accident. He was also charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance (suspected heroin), possession of drug paraphernalia and operating a motor vehicle while in possession of a controlled dangerous substance. He was processed and released.
A 30-year-old woman was charged with driving under the influence, being under the influence of a controlled dangerous substance, careless driving, reckless driving and failure to maintain lane after she was stopped by police on Route 133 at 11:45 a.m. Jan. 16. A 28-year-old East Windsor Township man who was a passenger in the vehicle was charged with possession of a prescription drug for allegedly having a pill that was determined to be Clonazepam in his possession. They were processed and released.
A 49-year-old East Brunswick Township man and a 48-year-old Old Bridge woman were charged with shoplifting after allegedly walking out of Kohl’s without paying for $2,250 worth of merchandise on Jan. 16. They were charged on complaint summonses.
A 62-year-old Monroe Township man was arrested on an active warrant from South Brunswick Township after he was stopped by police for weaving on Route 130 on Jan. 16. He was also issued traffic summonses for failure to maintain lane and driving while his license was suspended. He was processed and released.
