Police investigate reported bias intimidation incidents

Police are investigating two back-to-back incidents of bias intimidation and criminal mischief on Rosedale Road and Christopher Drive that were reported Feb. 5.

Police responded to Rosedale Road at 1:36 p.m. to investigate a criminal mischief incident involving bias intimidation. Officers found graffiti on two traffic signs that were written with a red marker.

One of them said “Free Palestine” with a red triangle and the other one said “Zionism kills kids,” police said.

Police were called to Christopher Drive at 4:37 p.m. and found graffiti on a street sign that said “F…k Israel.” It was written in red paint on the lower portion of the sign.

The cost of removal is unknown.
