Three unlocked vehicles were burglarized while they were parked on Samuel Peterson Drive and Aaron Truehart Way in the Hopewell Parc subdivision overnight between Aug. 13 and Aug. 14. Debit cards, $52 and other items were stolen from the vehicles.
A Trenton woman was arrested on an active warrant from Trenton following a motor vehicle stop on in the area of the Pennington Circle on Aug. 12. She was also charged with driving while suspended. She was processed and turned over to the Trenton Police Department.
A Brooklyn, N.Y., man was charged with driving under the influence after police were sent to investigate an overturned vehicle off the roadway in the area of Habourton-Rocktown Road at 3:10 a.m. Aug. 9. The vehicle struck a utility pole, overturned and was facing southbound in the northbound lane. The driver was also charged with reckless driving, careless driving, possession of an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle and failure to maintain lane. He was processed and released.
A Somerset woman was arrested on an active warrant from Watchung Borough following a motor vehicle stop for having a tinted front windshield on Route 31 on Aug. 5. The officer checked the vehicle registration and discovered the warrant. She was processed and released.
A Trenton man was charged with theft by unlawful taking for taking several pieces of firewood from a business on Pennington-Hopewell Road on Aug. 3. Video surveillance led to the man’s arrest.
A GE stainless steel gas range was reported stolen from an unoccupied building on Cora Bergen Boulevard between July 31 and Aug. 3. There were no signs of forced entry. The stove was valued at $646.
A Pennington woman was arrested on an active warrant from Hamilton Township on Aug. 2. A police officer on patrol noticed her vehicle was speeding and also had a tinted front window. He stopped her for the violations. Upon checking her driver’s license, he discovered the warrant. She was processed and released.
A Trenton man was arrested on an active warrant from Princeton following a motor vehicle stop for a cracked windshield in the area of Pennington Road and Bull Run Road on Aug. 2. The officer checked the vehicle’s registration, which revealed the driver was wanted on a warrant. He was processed and released.
A victim lost $500 after she sent money for a down payment on a vehicle advertised on Facebook Marketplace. She tried to send the money through Cash App to an account that had a different name than the seller, but the Cash App sent a warning that the account had been associated with fraud. The seller then told her to send the money via Zelle. After she sent the money, the seller stopped communicating with her. The incident was reported on Aug. 2.
A Pennington man was charged with driving under the influence after police were sent to investigate a suspicious vehicle in the parking lot of a business that was closed at 3:27 a.m. Aug. 1. An officer found the man asleep behind the wheel of the vehicle, with its engine running. He was also charged with refusal to submit to breath testing and reckless driving. He was processed and released.
