On Aug. 23 ,2026, volunteers from Dr. Shri Nanasaheb Dharmadhikari Pratishthan (DSNDP) partnered with the New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) & Union County Department of Parks & Recreation for an Adopt-A-Station (Edison)/Adopt-A-Station (Rahway)/ Adopt-A-Park (Clark) cleanup drives in New Jersey, demonstrating the organization’s ongoing commitment to environmental stewardship and community service.
Thirty volunteers from Middlesex County & Union County collected approximately 375 pounds of litter, filling twenty-five large trash bags while cleaning the surrounding area of Rahway Station, Edison station including the parking lot & Park (Clark)including Clark reservoir area.
The cleanup is part of DSNDP’s broader environmental mission inspired by the principle of “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam” — “The World Is One Family.” Guided by the teachings of Dr. Shri Appasaheb Dharmadhikari and Dr. Shri Sachindada Dharmadhikari, the organization encourages individuals to serve their communities through meaningful and sustainable action.
Within New Jersey, as a part of the nationwide cleanliness drive program DSNDP has accomplished 70 cleanliness drives, engaging 817 volunteers who have relentlessly worked for 1,469 volunteer hours, collecting 713 bags of trash, resulting in effective disposal of 10,695 pounds of waste. The organization has undertaken 13 programs of Tree plantation and conservation across 5 different counties involving 246 volunteers who worked for 725 hours for planting 18,351 trees and collected 64 bags of waste resulting in 7,040 pounds of garbage, weeds, and trash.
Beyond environmental initiatives, DSNDP supports community well-being through health and social service programs, including cancer awareness campaigns, blood and plasma donation drives, and other volunteer-led outreach efforts in the United States and Canada.
The organization’s environmental contributions have been recognized by numerous government agencies and community partners, reflecting the positive impact of volunteer-driven service on local communities.
