Mercer County has launched Visit Mercer, a new tourism website designed to connect residents and visitors with restaurants, attractions, events, parks, historic sites and experiences throughout Mercer County.

Developed by the Mercer County Division of Travel & Tourism under the Office of Economic Development, Visit Mercer will serve as the county’s central tourism hub while supporting local businesses and strengthening Mercer County’s growing tourism sector. The website replaces the former Visit Princeton tourism website following Mercer County’s new role as the region’s Destination Marketing Organization (DMO).

“Mercer County has something for everyone, whether you’re exploring our Revolutionary War history, enjoying one of our incredible parks, attending a concert or sporting event, or discovering one of our outstanding downtowns and local restaurants,” said Mercer County Executive Dan Benson. “Visit Mercer brings all of those experiences together in one place, making it easier than ever for residents and visitors alike to discover everything our County has to offer while supporting the businesses and organizations that make Mercer County a great place to live, work and play.”

Visit Mercer will provide comprehensive listings of restaurants, attractions, museums, parks, recreational opportunities, hotels and other destinations throughout Mercer County. Visitors will also be able to browse festivals, performances, sporting events, community programs, and other activities through a countywide events calendar.

Interactive maps and search tools will allow users to explore attractions, businesses and points of interest by municipality, category, business, or date, while digital tour guides and trip-planning tools will help visitors create personalized itineraries based on their interests and available time.

The platform will also serve as a resource for Mercer County businesses and organizations, allowing them to submit business information, attractions and upcoming events for inclusion on the website.

“The launch of Visit Mercer represents another investment in our local economy and the businesses that help define our communities,” said Commissioner Board Chair Terrance Stokes. “By making it easier for people to discover everything Mercer County has to offer, we’re supporting our restaurants, shops, cultural institutions, and attractions while encouraging visitors to spend more time exploring our county.”

“One of the best ways to support our local economy is simply to explore everything Mercer County has to offer,” said Commissioner Vice-Chair Cathleen Lewis. “Whether you’re looking for a new restaurant, planning a family outing or visiting one of our many historic and cultural destinations, Visit Mercer will make it easier for residents and visitors alike to discover something new right here in Mercer County.”

Visit Mercer will work in conjunction with a network of interactive digital tourism kiosks that will be installed at key visitor destinations throughout Mercer County, including the CURE Insurance Arena and Trenton Thunder Ballpark. The kiosks will provide visitors with immediate access to information about nearby restaurants, attractions, events, and activities, helping connect them with destinations across the County.

Future phases of the platform will introduce additional interactive features, including digital scavenger hunts, guided experiences, and other tools designed to encourage visitors to explore Mercer County’s communities. The mobile-responsive website has also been designed to support future expansion into a dedicated mobile application.

Visit Mercer will also complement the County’s Mercer 250 initiative by connecting visitors with the history, heritage and destinations that define Mercer County as America commemorates its 250th anniversary.

The website can be found at visit.mercercountynj.gov, with additional content, interactive features and tourism resources continuing to be added as the platform grows.
