Cranbury: Primary results

Cranbury voters have the November election matchup set for two seats on the Cranbury Township Committee.

Mayor Eman El-Badawi, an incumbent, and Robert Christoper earned the Democratic nominations and Joseph Buonavolonta secured the Republican nomination during the uncontested primary elections on June 4.

In the Democratic primary, El-Badawi earned 373 votes and Christopher received 351 votes. There were nine write-in votes cast as of June 11.

In the Republican primary, Buonavolonta received 150 votes and four write-in votes were cast. He was the only candidate to officially file for the Republican nomination.

The general election for the two seats is set to take place on Nov. 5.

The primary results reflect what has been posted online by the Middlesex County Clerk’s Office as of June 11.

The results of the primary will remain unofficial until they are certified.
