A Ewing Township man was charged with driving under the influence and reckless driving after he was involved in a car crash on Reed Road at 1:53 p.m. Jan. 16. He was processed and released.

Tools and equipment were reported stolen from a locked barn at a Pennington-Hopewell Road home sometime between Jan. 10 and Jan. 15. The burglar cut the lock on the barn and removed the items, which were valued at $717.

A Newark man was arrested on active warrants, including one from the Maplewood Township Municipal Court, on Jan. 14 after a police officer responded to the Hopewell Township Municipal Court for a person who was wanted on a warrant. The man was processed and released to the Maplewood Police Department.

A burglar smashed the window of a vehicle while it was parked at the dog park on Jan. 11. The victim said she was alerted to the burglary by another person. When she returned to her vehicle, she found her purse had been stolen, along with cash, a car key and other items. The total value was approximately $800.

A victim reported the fraudulent withdrawal of $4,896.81 from her bank account that occurred in August 2024. She discovered the fraudulent withdrawal while she was reviewing her bank accounts for the year, and reported it to police on Jan. 11.

A Pittstown, Pa., man was arrested on an active warrant from Pennsylvania after he was stopped for speeding on Bear Tavern Road Jan. 10. He was processed and released.
