A Mountain Church Road home was burglarized and assorted items were taken. The items were listed online as part of an estate sale. The incident was reported Feb. 22.
An incident of theft of services, involving four adults and a child, was reported Feb. 16 by the manager of the Wildflowers restaurant. The adults and the child ordered food and ate the meals, but left without paying for the $247.74 tab.
A Ewing Township man was charged Feb. 13 with criminal mischief for allegedly damaging a door at the Wildflowers restaurant. Damage was estimated at $1,300.
A victim reported receiving a bill from Verizon that showed two new phones and phone lines added to the account, which the victim did not authorize. The phones and the phone lines were removed from the account, along with the charges, in the incident of fraud that was reported Feb. 11.
A victim reported Feb. 10 that their bank account was compromised by a suspect who used it to pay a Citibank credit card bill for $2,908. The incident was reported to the bank, and no financial loss was suffered.
A Pennington woman was charged with shoplifting for allegedly attempting to leave ShopRite with $203.90 worth of merchandise Feb. 8. She was processed and released.
Two thieves posing as Verizon workers cut the fiber optic cable to a Pennington-Rocky Hill Road home, including the copper wire that runs adjacent to the fiber optic line. They stole the copper wire, which was valued at $1,000, and caused an estimated $12,500 worth of damage to the fiber optic cable. The incident was reported Feb. 7.
A victim reported the theft of a credit card and $200 from their wallet while staying at Capital Health Medical Center – Hopewell. The timeframe for the theft was unknown, and the victim was advised to cancel the credit card and watch the credit card statement for unauthorized charges. The incident was reported Feb. 4.
A Trenton man and a Trenton woman were charged with shoplifting for allegedly taking items from Stop & Shop on Feb. 3. They fled in a vehicle, which was subsequently stopped by police nearby on Denow Road. They were both found to have active warrants for their arrest. The man was processed and taken to the Mercer County Correction Center, and the woman was processed and turned over to the Ewing Township Police Department on the active warrants.
