Pedestrian suffers life-threatening injuries attempting to cross Quakerbridge Road

A pedestrian who was attempting to cross Quakerbridge Road between the Mercer Mall and the Nassau Park Pavilion mall suffered life-threatening injuries after being struck by a car shortly before 6 p.m. Dec. 26, according to the West Windsor Police Department.

The 45-year-old pedestrian, who lives in Princeton, was struck by a BMW driven by a 22-year-old Hamilton Township resident, police said. The car was traveling north on Quakerbridge Road. The pedestrian was crossing the road mid-block, between the Mercer Mall entrance and the Nassau Park shopping mall entrance.

The driver and other good samaritans attempted to help the pedestrian, who suffered serious injuries, police said. The pedestrian was rushed to Capital Health Regional Medical Center in Trenton for treatment of multiple life-threatening injuries.

The West Windsor Division of Fire and Emergency Services, paramedics, the Lawrence Township Police Department and the Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office Serious Collision Response Team responded to the incident.
