Lawrence Township man arrested on weapons and drug charges

A 25-year-old Lawrence Township man is facing multiple charges of weapons offenses and drug violations, following a two-week-long narcotics investigation, according to the Lawrence Township Police Department.

The man was arrested after police carried out a search warrant at a home in the first block of Woodmont Drive at 6 a.m. June 11. The charges were filed as a result of the search warrant, police said.

He was charged with weapons offenses that included manufacturing a firearm with a 3D printer; manufacture of a covert or undetectable firearm; certain persons not to possess weapons; and two counts each of defacement of weapons and possession of prohibited weapons and devices (large capacity magazine).

The man was also charged with operating a controlled dangerous substance production, and one count each of manufacturing and distributing a controlled dangerous substance for marijuana, LSD and mushrooms, police said.

Additional charges included criminal mischief and possession of drug paraphernalia, police said.

The man was processed and taken to the Mercer County Correction Center awaiting a detention hearing.

The Mercer County Narcotics Task Force and the Mercer County Tactical Response Team assisted the Lawrence Township Police Department in the investigation.
