Four men have been charged with multiple drug offenses following a sweep of a home, a business and a Jeep Grand Cherokee on Aug. 3, following a four-month-long investigation into narcotics trafficking, according to the Hamilton Township Police Department.
The Hamilton Police Anti-Crime Unit, the Hamilton Police SWAT unit and the Mercer County Prosecutor’s K-9 unit carried out search warrants on a house in the 1500 block of Greenwood Avenue, a business in the 1600 block of East State Street and on a Jeep Grand Cherokee.
Kevin Blue and Charles Jackson, both of Hamilton Township, and Phillip Young of Trenton were charged with maintaining or operating a controlled dangerous substance production facility; possession with intent to distribute phencyclidine, which is commonly known as PCP or angel dust; possession with intent to distribute cocaine; possession with intent to distribute Xanax and possession with intent to distribute clonidine hydrochloride, police said.
They were also charged with possession of cocaine, possession of phencyclidine, possession of Xanax and possession of drug paraphernalia, police said.
Blue was charged with money laundering. Blue and Jackson were charged with certain persons not to have weapons.
Lawrence McCray, who lives in Hamilton Township, was charged with possession of an imitation firearm and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Young and Jackson were arrested inside the Greenwood Avenue residence, and McCray was located at the East State Street business. Blue was apprehended following a motor vehicle stop on the Jeep Grand Cherokee that he was driving.
Police officers discovered $2,483 in cash, plus an imitation firearm, ammunition, suspected cocaine and suspected crack cocaine, clonidine hydrochloride pills and alprazolam They also found cigarettes soaked in suspected PCP, numerous empty wax folds and plastic vials, and drug paraphernalia.
Blue, Young and Jackson were taken to the Mercer County Correction Center, pending a detention hearing. McCray was processed and released on a summons.
