Under the leadership of Mercer County Clerk Paula Sollami Covello, the Mercer County Clerk’s Office has once again earned a perfect score on its passport services, marking the fifth consecutive year for this outstanding achievement. This recognition comes from the U.S. Department of State, the agency that reviews and regulates passport offices throughout the U.S.A.

The Mercer County Clerk’s Office in Trenton, and its satellite location at the Mercer County Connection in Hamilton, have consistently been recognized for excellence in handing passport applications and renewals. And, they are a one-stop shop as passport photos are also taken on-site. County Clerk Sollami Covello couldn’t be more pleased.  “I’m so proud of my staff for their unwavering dedication. It’s clear that this isn’t just a job for them as they display a commitment to serving the community efficiently and accurately every day,” she said.

The consistent excellence means that residents in and around Trenton can rely on a top-notch experience when applying for or renewing their passports.

In other passport news, the U.S. Department of State has increased the fee for 1–3 day delivery by $1.31 to $23.36 for an issued passport book, as of Monday, June 29th.

The fees were increased to the customer seeking an express mailing of the passport book, not the passport card.  If you’re ever in need of a passport, visit the Mercer County Clerk’s Office. The County Clerk’s Trenton office processes US Passport, and US Passport Card applications Monday through Friday during business hours from 8am to 4:30pm, with extended hours on Wednesday evenings until 6:45pm. Appointments are not required in Trenton, but recommended. For the Hamilton Township location, the Mercer County Connection, passport services are available Monday through Friday from 10am to 6pm, and on Saturdays from 10am to 2pm.
