The residents of two apartments at the Meadows at Montgomery apartment development were temporarily displaced following a fire in a dryer vent at the rear of the building, according to the Montgomery Township Police Department.
Police and firefighters responded to the apartment development on Sept. 1 to investigate a report of smoke in an apartment. The Meadows at Montgomery development is located on Scarborough Road, off Route 206 in the northern portion of Montgomery Township.
A fire was located in the dryer vent and extinguished by firefighters from Montgomery Township volunteer fire companies No. 1 and No. 2. There were no injuries, but two apartments were affected.
Firefighters from Rocky Hill, Hillsborough Township, Griggstown and Kingston responded to assist the Montgomery Township firefighters.
