Rosetta Treece, superintendent of the Hopewell Valley Regional School District, will discuss how to have conversations about difficult aspects of our history in Not In Our Town Princeton’s next Continuing Conversations online on July 6 at 7 p.m.
NIOT Princeton is a multi-racial, multi-faith group of individuals who stand together for racial justice and inclusive communities. The group’s focus is to promote the equitable treatment of all, and to uncover and confront white supremacy.

Treece will explore how to set ground rules that protect vulnerable people while still allowing non-traditional views, how to distinguish between harmful and uncomfortable ideas, and how to discuss concepts in a way that encourages people to explore history themselves rather than making some people feel defensive.
Treece has been an educator in public schools for 20 years and has served as a high school English teacher, vice principal, principal, and assistant superintendent of curriculum and instruction. She graduated magna cum laude from the College of New Jersey earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in English secondary education. She holds a master’s degree in educational administration and earned her doctorate degree in educational leadership from Rowan University.
‘Continuing Conversations’ events are held the first Monday of most months at 7 p.m. Princeton Public Library events are at 6 p.m.
