A shoplifter walked out of a Hulfish Street store with 42 items valued at a combined $5,040 on July 16. Surveillance videos showed the man fled the area in a vehicle that had been reported stolen from another town.
A thief attempted to activate a US Bank credit card that did not belong to him. A Chestnut Street resident told police that she had recently applied for the credit card, but when it did not arrive, she contacted the credit card company. She was told that a man had attempted to activate it, but he was unable to do so because he could not answer the security question. The incident was reported on July 12.
Two Honda dirt bikes, valued at a combined $3,100, were reported stolen from the enclosed front porch of a Basin Street home sometime between 1 a.m. and 6 a.m. on July 12.
