A Trenton man has been charged with murder and weapons offenses in connection with the death of a Ewing Township man who was shot in the neck on Aug. 2, according to the Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office.
Isiah Greene, 32, also was charged with possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, unlawful possession of a weapon and certain persons not to possess a weapon, the Prosecutor’s Office said.
An investigation into the Aug. 2 shooting death of Jemear Miller, 32, of Ewing Township by the Mercer County Homicide Task Force and the Mercer County Shooting Response team led to Green’s arrest on Aug. 20.
Greene was arrested by the New Jersey State Police following a motor vehicle stop in Bordentown. The Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office filed a motion detain Greene, pending trial.
Trenton police responded to the 300 block of East State Street at 3:37 a.m. Aug. 2 for reports of a large disturbance and shots fired. Police found Miller in front of a building on East State Street. He had been shot in the neck.
Miller was taken to Capital Health Regional Medical Center in Trenton, where he was pronounced dead. A second victim who sustained a non-life threatening gunshot wound arrived at the hospital in a personal vehicle.
