April is National Volunteer Month, and the Red Cross celebrates the kindness of blood donors and those who volunteer their time. There is no substitute for blood â€” volunteer donors are essential to patient care. Those who come to give through April 30 will receive a $15 e-gift card to a choice of merchant. Savvy Seniors – A Safety Awareness Workshop for Seniors will be held at 2 p.m. Professor Douglas S. Collier, professor of Criminal Justice at Monmouth University and a former DEA (Drug Enforcement Agency) Special Agent, will lead the session. The Old Bridge Police Department is hosting the 2026 Youth Police Academy and is now accepting applications. The academy is open to any students entering 6th, 7th or 8th grade in September and attends a private or public school in the township. The Academy will be held at the Old Bridge Township Police Department from Monday to Friday, July 20 to 24 from 8 a.m. to approximately 3 p.m. Spots are limited to 30 applicants. Visit the Old Bridge Police Department’s social media page for an application. A completed application and a check payment in the amount of $125 made payable to the Township of Old Bridge addressed to the Old Bridge Police Department, One Old Bridge Plaza, Old Bridge, NJ 08857. Through May – Old Bridge Municipal Utilities Authority is conducting its Spring Flushing program from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily. The water may show a light discoloration, which is temporary.

Be a Buddy or Field Crew with Just4Kixs – Soccer for Children with Special Needs. The Just4Kixs Soccer Program has joined the Old Bridge Soccer Club which plays on Higgins Fields, 260 Higgins Road.
