Woman allegedly attempted to use heroin at police headquarters

A 38-year-old Brick Township woman was charged with drug violations on March 4 after reports of a possibly unconscious woman in the women’s restroom in the lobby of police headquarters, according to the East Windsor Police Department.

A female police officer responded to the women’s restroom to investigate and discovered the woman was allegedly attempting to use suspected heroin, police said.

The suspect allegedly attempted to destroy the suspected heroin, police said. She was escorted to the processing room, where a routine search of the suspect revealed more suspected heroin

She was charged on a complaint summons with possession of a controlled dangerous substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, tampering with evidence and being under the influence of a controlled dangerous substance.
