The Walmart store on Route 130 North was evacuated April 25 after a bomb threat was called into the store shortly before 6 p.m., according to the East Windsor Police Department.
The caller claimed to have placed a bomb in the store and threatened to detonate it if the store employee disconnected the phone call. The caller disconnected the phone call, however, before police arrived.
Police officers evacuated the store in response to the call, which was reported at 5:43 p.m. There were no injuries to employees, customers or first responders.
Explosive detection dogs from the West Windsor Police Department, the New Jersey Transit Police and the Mercer County Sheriff’s Office conducted a sweep of the store, but did not find any explosive devices, police said.
The East Windsor Volunteer Fire Co. No. 1, Hightstown Engine Co. No. 1 and Capital Health EMS also responded to the store.
The investigation is on-going.
