He replaces K-6 STEAM Supervisor Kristin Burke, who was named to become the new principal at the Lawrenceville Elementary School. She begins her new role on July 1.

Bariexca has more than two decades of experience as an educator. He joined the Lawrence Township Public Schools in 2011 and has worked as an instructional supervisor, school psychologist and an assistant principal at Lawrence High School.

The longtime educator said he is excited to begin the next chapter in his career, returning to the school district’s Office of Instructional Services where he began his career in administration in 2014.

In a joint statement, Bariexca and Burke pledged to make the transition as smooth as possible for students, staff and families.

“While there will be some new faces in new places starting this summer, one thing remains the same – what is good for our kids is our North Star,” Bariexca and Burke said.

Bariexca earned a bachelor’s degree in English from The College of New Jersey and a doctorate degree in school psychology from Rider University. He also earned a doctorate degree in educational leadership from Wilmington University. He lives in Perkasie, Pa., with his family.
