Roosevelt man charged with DUI, three counts of endangering the welfare of a child

A 36-year-old Roosevelt man was charged with driving under the influence and three counts of endangering the welfare of a child after he crashed his vehicle into trees on Etra Road at 9:48 p.m. Aug. 3, according to the East Windsor Police Department.

A police officer was dispatched to investigate a report of a vehicle off the roadway, and discovered that the man’s vehicle had struck some trees. The officer found three juveniles in the vehicle, who were turned over to a guardian.

Additional charges leveled against the man included driving under the influence with children in a vehicle, careless driving and reckless driving, police said.

He was processed and released.
